Great list. This reinforces what we are hearing everywhere, especially the importance of authenticity. If you're faking it, social media reveals that.

I love all of these. The ONE part disagree with is “Get a Professional Logo Before You Try to Build Your Brand on Social.” Your logo isn’t your brand. The logo should be the very last thing you get because it should be a reflection of your culture and what your brand represents. Sometimes it can be hard to figure that out until you’ve been doing it for a while. And the logo will always evolve as the brand evolves. Lab Coat Agents has gone through five logos in seven years. Thx for the awesome article!!!

Number 11 is incorrect. Stories only utilizes 10 hashtags, anything over 10 isn't considered.

Hi Amanda, the short answer is yes, but depending on what state you are working in you may have to follow disclosure guidelines. That means you cannot use creative titles for yourself without putting "licensed real estate salesperson" somewhere on your marketing materials. This is the case in New York, so make sure to ask your broker what the disclosure regulations are in your state.

I'm just now finishing school to get my real estate license. I plan to work as an independent contractor. Can I have my own custom logo for business cards, letterheads, etc? Or do I have to have the agency's logo? Covid hit my husband and I hard, and I don't want to spend money on a personal logo, business cards, and stationary if I'm going to have to use the agency's logo. I'm in Georgia if that helps!
